While I have a North Carolina broker's license and a Virginia broker’s license and have been a REALTOR® for more than 30 years, my early years concentrated on valuation and appraisals. Always active in the High Point Regional Association of REALTORS®, over the years I have served on the Board of Directors and on many of their committees. I was instrumental in establishing The Multiple Listing Service in High Point and served as one of its first presidents.
From time to time a client insisted that my firm handle the sale of a property, even though that was not the major focus of our business. Frequently, these properties were out of the ordinary real estate and the sale, successfully accomplished, led to other clients. Today, a great deal of my time is occupied in the marketing of industrial, commercial, furniture showroom and other unique properties. In 1996, I was presented the REALTOR® Diamond Award for outstanding achievement in closed sales and listings by the High Point Regional Association of REALTORS®.
